To celebrate International Women’s Day, Polish Women of Wales hosted its first conference for women at Cardiff Central Library. It was an afternoon dedicated to wellbeing, learning and, above all, bringing women together.

Women joined us to meet new people, exchange experiences and hear inspiring talks from others sharing their knowledge and skills. The programme explored different aspects of wellbeing and included practical activities that invited everyone to pause, reflect and make time for themselves.

The conversations were just as valuable as the sessions themselves. Guests had the opportunity to connect with women from the community, discover shared interests, exchange ideas and begin conversations that could lead to future collaborations. There was also time to explore a range of wellbeing products and learn about the women and businesses behind them.

To close the event, we came together for a Magical Sound Bath — a peaceful moment to slow down and relax after an afternoon full of conversations and new experiences.

The conference was an opportunity to share the vision behind PWOW. Our Founder and Chair, Sylwia Dziewulska, created Polish Women of Wales from a simple but powerful idea: to build a supportive community where Polish women living in Wales can connect, inspire one another and grow together. Through PWOW, we want to promote wellbeing, empowerment, education and collaboration while celebrating the talent and strength within our community.

Seeing women share their stories, support each other’s work and make new connections brought that vision to life. It was a meaningful beginning for PWOW and a reminder of what can happen when we create space for women to come together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed to the programme and helped make our first conference so welcoming. We look forward to seeing the connections made that day continue to grow.

Strength is a Woman. And this is only the beginning.
