More Than a Conference: Women Building Something Together

When we began planning the PWOW conference, we hoped it would be a place for women to meet, share ideas and feel inspired. What happened went further than we imagined.
From the morning preparations to the final moments of clearing up, women stepped in to help one another. Some shared their knowledge from the stage. Others brought food, helped with the practical details, welcomed guests, listened, asked questions or started conversations with someone new. Every contribution shaped the day.
Throughout the conference, women had the chance to hear inspiring talks, learn from one another and talk about their own experiences and ambitions. The room was full of laughter, honest conversations and encouragement. New connections formed, ideas were exchanged, and some women began discussing ways they might work together beyond the event.
We were also delighted to have the support of Big Mamma’s Sandwich Club. This Polish woman owned business generously contributed delicious zapiekanki and fresh salads to our shared table. The food brought people together between sessions and added to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Behind the business is a woman who took the leap to build something of her own — exactly the kind of courage and enterprise we love to celebrate at PWOW.
The conference showed us what this community can become. Women came to listen and learn, but they also offered their time, ideas and encouragement. By the end of the day, new friendships and possible collaborations were already beginning to take shape.
Thank you to every woman who attended, spoke, presented, prepared, brought something to share or helped in any way. You made the conference more than a programme of talks. You made it a day built together.
Strength is a Woman. And this is only the beginning.
